Plelauff

Well Jim and I were living it up in August in Plelauff at our house in France. A few snaps below, but we spent most of our days at the beach lolling around doing doing, swimming, drinking wine and eating all sorts of yummy seafood and other Bretagne things. We also just bought a small piece of land in which we plan on becoming distinguinshed gentleman and gentlewoman farmers – we are planning on planting apple trees, fig trees and a few other fruit trees so in our ripe old age we will have something to live on (turn into cidre, confiture)

But the first night we were able to attend the Son et Lumiere – a fundraiser to the 12th century Abbaye Bon Repos – and they put on a 3 hour spectacular that is undescribable with words but recounts the history of the abbaye through today – 400 volunteers and 1,000 costumes, 500 animals, etc -its amazine. And at the end, they light up the ruined Abbaye from the inside. This photo does not capture it correctly, but here it is.
